Guide to Taking Photos of a Casino Themed Wedding

Having a casino-themed wedding is becoming popular among people who love wagering. If you are a photographer who has been hired to document such a wedding, you should know that you are working with an unconventional couple. The fact that they have chosen a casino-themed wedding shows that they want to be different and they want their wedding to stand out. It is time for you to get into action by using the following tips.

Think in Color

A casino-themed wedding will have a lot of colors to match the theme. Just like you expect a casino to have many colors, the same happens with the decorations used at the wedding. Capture the bride and groom mashed into that color. Take photos of the guests blending in or contrasting with the color. Basically, you need to play a lot with color and light to bring the best out of your subject.

Be Ready to Capture Motion

When people plan for a casino themed wedding, chances are that there will be a lot of casino games being played to fit into the theme. It can be a short session where people play on online casino sites such as Unibet or a session where people challenge each other on a physical game as a form of entertainment. Expect a lot of laughter, movement, jumping up and about when someone wins, and that kind of excitement. Have your camera ready to capture the motion so that you do not miss out on anything.

Visit the Venue Prior to the Wedding

If possible, you should plan to visit the venue before the wedding. This allows you to know the lighting situation you will have. It also guides you on the vintage point where you may need to set up and stand during the wedding. Visiting also lets you anticipate the kind of lenses that you will need to carry if you want to get the best shots. Always remember that whichever kind of wedding you are documenting, you need to have a backup person to help you since it is almost impossible to capture all the action that happens at a wedding.
