Keeping up with social media can be a full time job. I suddenly feel obsessed (and pretty lame) when I’m checking my phone every 5 seconds to update facebook, instagram, the blog, my website…..but with a world that moves at the pace of a millisecond and a society that can change with the post of a single tweet (speaking of, I still don’t understand how to use my twitter account), it’s a sink or swim job and I’m trying to embrace it.
Instagram has to be one of my favorites, because the way that I express myself to the world is through photos. And while I struggle with it a bit, as I’m not into the fancy world of iphones yet, and am still shooting through a cracked screen of my droid, it’s amazing the images that people can capture on their phone. Did you know that the iphone is the world’s number one selling camera?? Galleries are even starting to have iphone art shows and photo centers producing iphone photography classes.
It’s a strange existence art is making it’s way into, photography especially, but I’m trying to go with the flow and explore it with all that I can, but still keep my romance with the good stuff….like film and historical prints.
Happy Sunday all, and should you have an instagram account, you can follow me at jthrower13.
